Dale R. Eller Obituary

Dale R. Eller, age 64, of Millcreek, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 29, 2024. Born in Erie on September 6, 1959, he was a son of Marilyn (Pieper) Eller, of Erie, and the late Ray D. Eller.


Dale was a 1977 graduate of McDowell High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years. After the service he joined his family business, Glenwood Fire and Security, later Doyle Security. He later started his own company ITZ Solutions, a security management company. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and also loved going to any professional baseball game. He was inducted into the Security Sales and Integration Industry Hall of Fame.


He is survived by Paula, his wife of 41 years, whom he married on Pearl Harbor Day (Dec. 7) in 1982; two children, Joshua Eller, of Erie, and Diane Sangster, husband Douglas, of Rochester, N.Y.; two siblings, Brian Eller, wife Jonie, and Cherie Chambers, husband Jeffrey “J.C.”; and many nieces and nephews.


Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd., on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., and may attend a funeral service there on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Phil Bookhammer officiating.
